Kimberly Payne Greenwood is an accomplished entrepreneur, dedicated community advocate, and respected leader in mentoring women toward personal excellence, education, and success. For more than 30 years, she served as President of Greenwood Productions, Inc., holding the state licenses for the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA state pageants in Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi for the Miss Universe Organization. As Executive Director of all three statewide programs, she led with integrity, purpose, and a deep commitment to encouraging personal excellence in young women.
When Kim founded Greenwood Productions in 1992, she established a mission statement that would guide the company for more than three decades: inspiring women to challenge themselves mentally, physically, and spiritually in pursuit of their full potential. Under Kim’s leadership, the program became known for its substance, industry leadership, and dedication to helping young women build self-confidence, individual pride, educational opportunity, social responsibility, and a sisterhood rooted in encouragement and empowerment.
She is proud to have led a wise, devoted, and accomplished team of staff, sponsors, and supporters who helped build a program grounded in purpose and recognized for excellence, credibility, and integrity. Before stepping down from her role with the Miss Universe Organization in August 2025, one of her final acts was helping facilitate a full-tuition scholarship opportunity at Mississippi State University for Miss Teen USA titleholders from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. It was a fitting culmination to a career devoted to shaping the educational futures of young women across the country, and in many ways, a reflection of the very ideals that first drew her to pageantry as a young woman herself.
Kim is frequently invited to address civic and community organizations, drawing on her decades of leadership experience and commitment to developing generations of leaders.
Kim’s passion for mentoring young women was shaped by her own experience as Miss Tennessee USA 1989. During her tenure as Miss Tennessee USA, she traveled to more than 20 countries as a goodwill ambassador, entertaining U.S. troops on USO tours, including a tour to the North Atlantic, where she met her husband, entertainer and Grammy Award winner Lee Greenwood.
Throughout their 34-year marriage, Kim and Lee Greenwood have shared a deep commitment to faith, country, community, and service to America’s military and veterans. They have been actively involved in numerous charitable alliances serving veterans, including Helping A Hero, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building specially adapted homes for wounded veterans.
A proud Tennessean, Kim holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Communication from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Kim is a dedicated mother to two adult sons, Dalton and Parker, a new grandmother and member of Brentwood Baptist Church.
